Which is the least expensive way to cover house radiators?

I need to cover 2 house radiators. Which is the cheapest way to do it? I was told to make a box for each of them, but that it would be expensive. Thanks to all who answer.

Answers:

1We used to live in a home with radiators and we made boxes for them, quite inexpensively. I don't think it was any more than $15 a piece for all of the parts.

The metal screen type of thing you put in the front is only a couple dollars and you don't need to purchase high quality wood for the actual box.

My advice is measure your radiator (HxWxD) and go to Home Depot or Lowes and tell them what you need to make. They are very helpful and not pushy. Tell them you need to do it as cheap as possible. They don't work for commissions, so they really don't care how much you spend.

I liked having the boxes because then it provided an extra shelf for plants!

Good luck to you!
